She think it isn’t right to have gender roles nowadays. People shouldn’t force others to act in some way based on gender roles.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
Yes. She started by saying that in the modern society which is 2017, there is no thing such as gender roles. It might have been better if she had said that it is different from the past at the front.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
Yes. She made an example by suggesting her childhood which was about taking photos in blue frames and pink frames as a child and said that she thinks it’s wrong. This helped me to understand her opinion.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
Her mom is someone that she admires the most. Though her life was harsh, she remains positive. Also she is very kind to others.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
Not really. I think starting her speech with a photo of her mom could have played the role of a hook.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
I think it was logical enough:)
First, the presenter talked about the harsh childhood of her mother. Then, she explains the reason why she respect her mom: her mom now became a person who has a positive mind and kind personality, even after those hardships.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
I think it was clear. But overall, the speech was a little bit short. I think she could have added more comments at the end, for example how her mom affected her in a positive way.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids
There was no visual aid, but I think it would have been better if she used one. For example, a picture that she took with her mom would have made her speech more interesting.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
There was some hand gestures, but not much. In most of the times, the speaker was holding her hands, which resulted in lack of gestures.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
