    1.What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed? :
    The main point was to introduce the need to ban smoking in public places.

    2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved? :
    I have been interested in bans on smoking in public places, so I reacted to her question about them. Maybe explaining them further could have been better.

    3.Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas? :
    The structure was logical with three paragraphs explaining why we should put bans on smoking in public places. The transitions between ideas were good.

    4.Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable? :
    Her conclusion was pretty concise, and she included all the main points. So, I liked the closing.

    5.Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids.:
    I don't think she used enthusiasm, pauses, humor, or visual aids.

    6.What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures. :
    There weren't any body movements or gestures, but she kept her eye contact with the camera.

    7.Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood? :
    She was audible enough and she enunciated. I could understand her well.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    : She admires Yuna Kim’s steadiness and passion. It was addressed well.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    : Because this was the first video she took, a hook or something cannot be expected. But, it was interesting that she related Yuna Kim and herself in regard to study and living a life and that she learned from Yuna Kim by doing so when she had a hard time.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    : Yes. She explained why she admires Yuna Kim in detail, and mentioned ‘first’, ‘second’ which shows well-organized structure.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    : She concluded with hoping that she wants to live her life, not just yearn Yuna Kim’s life and characteristics, but even be someone’s role model. This closing was interesting and sounds great.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    : She used enthusiasm and appropriate pauses. There are no humor and visual aids. But it was okay.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    : She seemed a little stiff, but she was trying to use some gestures and take a formal posture.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    : The volume was good. Her voice was audible. I could understand why she admires Yuna Kim clearly.

    Speaker: Sumin Park
    Date: 2017-06-08

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    She explained why banning smoking on public placed is needed. She introduced three main reasons: involuntary smoking, banning would reduce the amount of smokers and cigarette butts dirtying the ground.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    She started the speech with a question: “Do you think we should ban smoking on public spaces?”. She could have mad the speech longer, by maybe using statistics etc.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    The structure was well-organized and logical, she had three main ideas to explain her point. Good transitions between the reasons with “first, second and finally”.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    She could have made a short summarization in the end. The closing was a bit hurried.

    She did not use any of these.

    Very good eye contact, but she could have used more gestures.

    She talked with a good volume and pronounced well, I understood everything.

    Title : Unit 4

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    She explained the process of aura generation. She simply told the whole process and it was addressed well.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    Yes, it was effective. At first, she asked the question to the audience and attract the attention. That was a good point. Also the topic was very novel.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    Yes. She started her speech with a question and in the body she talked about the process of aura generation. There was also conclusion part.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    Yes, it was concise. Also the closing was memorable.

    She didn't use some visual aids but she used pauses and showed enthusiasm in her speech. It was impressive.

    Her posture and eye-contact were really good. It could attract the audience well.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    She told us how she admires Yuna kim and how that related to her personality and passion.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    The Hook was acceptable but she could work more on it to be more effective and catchier. She could for example tell a story or even ask the audience in order to improve it.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    : Yes. She Used the numbers like ‘first’, ‘second’ etc. which makes the structure logical and the transition more better .

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    The Conclusion was clear. I could guess what her message was about. She could also using some memorable words to make her conclusion more satisfying to the audience. But her closing was interesting and impressive.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    : She used an appropriate pauses. There are no visual aids or even humor but it was clear and interesting.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    : Somehow I could feel she was little bit nervous or stressed out but I also saw how she was dealing with it by her gestures . I recommend her using cards instead so that she could have more eye contact with the audience.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    : I could understand clearly with no distraction. Her pronunciation is good as well. Wish you a good luck !
