    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    the overall speech was about the recipe of her soul food, apple pie. She analyzed many steps to make an apple pie. And because of her visual materials, it was well addressed.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    sure. She started her speech by defining a word ‘soul food’ and it made me easy to understand her attachment on apple pie
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    she analyzed detailed steps to make an apple pie. So the composition of her speech was really logical.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    For the conclusion she talked about the reason why it became her soul food. And suggest the audience to eat apple pie. It was really memorable. However it would be better if she summarized the main process of making her soul food.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    she used appropriate pauses, so it made me easy to understand.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    Her eye contact was natural. When explaining the process, she used adequate actions so that the process was visualized.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    sure. Her speech was really clear so it was easy to understand most of her ideas.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    : Her speech was for introducing how to make an apple pie. She well presented each step for cooking with adequate visual aid.

    2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    : Opening quotation and definition was especially effective enough to draw attention from audience. As I said, PPT help audience to keep focusing on her presentation.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    : There are transition siganls whenever steps move onto next. It was excellent.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    : She reminded me of the topic, mentioned her own experience, and recommended audience to have their own soul food.

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids.
    : Her voice was really really clear. I think her voice can be one strongpoint in presenting. Also, the speed of speaking was proper. So, the presentation was easy to follow. PPT was nice. But if I could see it clearly, it would be better.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    : More body gestures would be good. As to eye-contact, it was good.

    : As I mentioned above, her voice was clear as well as her pronunciation, intonation, and volume of voice were great.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    The main topic was about whether the law that allows free-metro for elders over age of 65 should be changed. The speech stated some suggestions about this topic. The speaker said that they should change the age higher considering longer lifespan.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    She stated a cliché and talked about how elders worked for our economy and smoothly moved into her own topic.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    The structure was good enough. She told reasons for those suggestions which helped the listeners understand.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    The conclusion was concise enough and restated the main points. Also, she used a quote in the closing which was interesting.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    She didn’t use visual aid but used pauses to stress some parts of the speech.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    She used a lot of eye contact and gestures.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    The pronunciation and voice was both adequate to listen.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    The overall purpose of the speech was about explaining the process of making an apple pie. She talks about various processes of making an apple pie during her presentation.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    She gives a quote of a famous writer, “Don’t be eye candy be soul food”. I believe that this hook was effective for obtaining the audiences’ attention.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    I believe her structure is logical as she has specific steps for explaining her process.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    She concluded her speech by summarizing what she said during the presentation, and I think it was concise.

    She utilized Powerpoints as her visual aids, and it was effective for conveying her main ideas.

    She had strong eye contact with the audience, but it would have been better if she had more gestures.

    Her voice was clear and audible, and I could understand everything in her speech easily.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    The speaker talked about terrorism. She recent terror attack in Manchester and a terror attack in Paris in 2015. She introduced ISIS and solutions to deal with terrorism.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    The hook was in the beginning, when she started with a tweet made by Ariana Grande (after her concert, the terror attack happened next to the concert arena). Her speech was very effective, I liked the visuals.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    Her speech had a lot of explanations, about the events, ISIS and solutions. But her speech was well-organized and the structure well-thought.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    She concluded with a quote from Bill Clinton. She did not summarize, but the ending was memorable.

    She had a great ppt, which made the speech effective.

    Great eye contact and gestures.

    She talked very clearly, so I understood everything she said. Good pronunciation.
