1.What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed? :
Her topic was about a great vacation idea to Malaysia. She recommends Malaysia because of the beautiful weather and its food. It was well addressed because she kept it in a simple structure that showed reasons to visit and not visit.

2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved? :
Yes, there was a hook in the beginning when she asked a question about getting away from daily life. It was effective because it gave the audience to think about their time off and think about possible destinations.

3.Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas? :
Yes, she had a firm structure in her speech, she had a beginning, 2 main reasons and a conclusion. She stated specific examples on why people would love Malaysia, but also warned that some people might not like it. The transition was well done as she did moved to the next point smoothly.

5.Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids.:
She did not use humour, but she took pauses in between. In order for a speech to be effective, pauses are very important and she did them well by keeping her pace relatively slow for the listeners to understand better. She didn't have any visual aids.

6.What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures. :
She didn't move very much in her speech, but she kept her hands together. I don't know if this was intentional or just her trying to get hold of her nerves. It could have been better if she had them by her sides. She had a comfortable eye contact.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?

She wanted to talk about the person she admires. She used to think of his father as a bossy person so she dismissed her father and it led to a lot of arguments. But one day she realized that her father was trying to change her characteristic. Through this she could his genuine mind and it touched her mind. So by seeing her father she decided to change herself rather than wanting others to do so.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?

There was a great hook and I could see this through her speech. She organized the speech by first introducing her father and then her argument with him and what made her rethink about her characteristic.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?

She first introduced her father as a person whom she admires the most. I could see the structure was logical by listening to the way she changed her stereotype about her father. I just thought it would little bit better if she had suggested more evidence or reasons for choosing him as a person whom she admires.

4.Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?

She restated why she admires her father and what it was all about. She said what she learned from her father was the essence of the relationship. Her closing was also memorable as I could think of my selfish characteristic like she did.

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids

As she used anecdote between herself and her father the overall speech was really interesting.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.

She used cards instead of using whole speech paper so the eye contanct was natural enough. I think it would be better if she would have used more various gestures. Without this it was really good.

    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?

The volume of her voice was perfect and she spoke every word and sentence clearly. So there was no difficulties understanding her speech.
